It was a choice or an accident

Let's start with the worst part of life "QUESTIONS". Question your self ,This is the thing you wanted to be? Are you happy with what you are doing? Do you love your job (off course not the salary you are getting)? Do you feel your self involved and motivated in to this world of computers and technology?

If the answers were NO, till today you are an "ENGINEER BY ACCIDENT", so what now is this the end of the world. NO lets make it a choice.

Whats Next?

The single sentence answer to "How I make it a choice?" is "DEVELOP INTEREST IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING", keep trying until you have nothing left to know more (which is apparently not possible to know all).

Tell me how?

We know that most of us (the accidental engineers) rely on googling, that means we apparently keep reading things, but just to save our asses, to deliver on time etc etc. Give it a try and do one thing next time, you hunt for a solutions, don't stop reading/digging further the moment you get your answer (which we most of us do, alt+tab to IDE after getting a solution). This is a simple way you can create a habit of EXTRA READING, which will later result in making it a choice.

Don't go with the flow

Yes you read it correctly don't go with the flow. Its an idiom "go with the flow" but most of the time it will result in chaos and confusions, frustration. For an example if there is some new technology came up and it has so called larger market shares and demand, have you asked your self rather on relying others words, is it actually required to JUMP on to that technology instantly.
It's not always necessary that what is being imposed is always true. Learning a new technology is different thing rather than of hunting job on that new technology or even leaving your current job for that technology unless you have mastered that tech. Learn as much as you can hold up, being master of a technology is far far better than knowing a little workable part of all i.e. jack of all but master of none.

In the last remember one thing "Develop interest and make it a choice" its was always there within our self's to cover that extra mile but we never tried the first step.

Being AGILE

AGILE! many of us had heard of this or even following it, so what it is. Lets start with simple word explanation in English dictionary it says  "Able to move quickly and easily" . That's it, the methodology is all about moving quickly and easily. What is AGILE? Agile is a project management technique or you can say a open methodology, projects can be of any nature and field, it can be applied to almost any kind of project. In this article we will talk more about software development projects. Its a methodology Not a process, it's a philosophy or set of values Agile breaks down larger projects into small, manageable chunks called iterations. At the end of each iteration (which generally takes place over a consistent time interval) something of value is produced. Agile has different method implementation like XP (extreme programming), Scrum, Crystal, Kanban, RUP etc.read more methods here  So how we will move quickly and easily . By making small go...
